His property was auctioned for Rs 32.6 crores in 2009. Mr. Ashok Samani purchased it. He is a businessman and stockbroker. His 8 flats were sold and the only one with his mother was spared. The family has to face a huge number of court proceedings. His wife and brother continue fighting against The Tax Tribunal. The Tribunal went on to dismiss Tax demands in 2019. Mr. Ashwin Mehta is a lawyer.
