The construction of Phase 1 is with first-time development from Mansarovar – Chandpole Bazaar which offers a complete distance of 9.63 km. the project was commenced in 2010 and complete in 2014. It is India’s sixth metro system, the Jaipur metro has achieve milestones. It took only 4 years for completion and Metro became operational on 3 June 2015. It is known to be one of the fastest-developed metro networks built in India. It is one of the first metro to run on a double-deck elevated road. The project gets ownership and operation by Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation. It comes with only 1 line in operation that serves only 9 stations. It has with 9 km long line as per expansion plans. If all is well the metro extends 30 km and has 2 lines, that serves with total of 31 stations.

Jaipur metro project with two corridors

The Jaipur Metro project operates only on 1 corridor and the next is under construction. The Jaipur metro project is from Mansarovar to BadiChaupal which comes with the East-West corridor and North-South Corridor. East-West Corridor is with Mansarovar to BadiChoupal with a length of 12.067 Km. The North-South corridor is from Sitapura to Ambabani. The total length of 23.099 km. construction with the East-West Corridor began on 13 November 2010 and operation from Mansarovar to Chand pole began o June 2015. 

Jaipur Metro is put up with two phases. Phase 1 includes the Pink Line and Phase 2 has the Orange Line. Phase 1 is o operational mode while phase II is still under construction. The implementation of the project is managed by Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Limited.

Pink Line: Pink Line is one of the first routes of Jaipur metro rail. It connects from BadiChaupal to Mansarovar. The total length for the route is 12.067 km. It is 11 metro stations that have 3 underground stations and 8 elevated stations. It is divided into Phase 1-A and Phase 1-B. Stations from MansarovarToChandpole comes under Phase 1-A and it has total number of stations as 9. Phase 1-B gets two stations with CholiChaupar and BadiChaupur. The Phase 1-A route only gets operational.

The total length of Phase 1-A is 9.718 km. The total length for Phase 1-B is 2.349 km. Phase 1-B is scheduled for completion in 2018. 

Route of Jaipur Metro Pink Line:

Mansarovar – New Aatish Market station – VivekVihar – Shyam Nagar Station – Ram Nagar Station – Civil lines station – Railway station metro station – Sindhi camp station – Chand pole station – ChotiChaupar – BadiChaupar.

Orange Line is the second proposed route of Jaipur Metro rail. It connects with the Sitapura Industrial area towards Ambabani. The total length of this route is around 23 km. It gets 20 metro stations, which adds as 13 elevated and 3 as underground. The line is with delay in construction although it was to be operational by the year 2021.

It is from Sitapura Industrial Area towards Ambabani

The project offers a total distance of 23 km.
