It is in operation since 29 November 2017. The metro has several lines as 3. It has a train length of 3 coaches. It has a total number of stations of 56. The metro timing starts at 06:30 am and ends at 10:30 pm.

It has a Redline as Miyapur to LB Nagar

It has Blue Line as Nagole to Raidurg.

Hyderabad Metro construction started with Phase 1 construction as a Public Private Partnership model that started in April 2012 by its concessionaire. L & T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (LTMRHL) ended I February 2020 when the Green line was completed. 

It took work on the Hyderabad Metro 3 km MGBS – Falaknuma section of the green line. It never began due to local protests within Old City also led to Phase 1 getting truncated at 67 km. 

The Hyderabad Metro Phase 2 project comes with the current well-developed proposed stage. It is currently in the proposed stage. Its detailed Project Report (DPR) was submitted with Telangana Government approval in February 2020. The routes are modified multiple times. The latest plan finalized in February 2024 has the inclusion of 70 km routes. Musarambagh - 

The system specifications for the project are with a top speed of 80 mph. It has an average speed of 35 mph. The track gauge is standard with 1435 mm. It has electrification of 25 KV, 50 hz AC with overhead catenary of OHE. It connects with signaling as you get communication-based on train Contol. (cbtc).

Hyderabad Metro Corridor II has a Green line as JBS Parade ground – MGBS at 9.6 km with a total of 9 stations.  It has JBS Paade gound – Musheerabad – Narayanguda – Secunderabad West – RTC X Roads – Sultan Bazar – Gandhi Hospital – Chikkadpally – M G Bus station

Line 3 as the Blue line is Nagole to Raidurg with 28 km of distance and 23 stations.

The interchange station for Corridor I and III is Ameerpet station.

Reach destination: All metro trains are announced with the flashing name of the approaching station on electric panels. You may also find network maps inside the train that also help to locate your destination station. 

Exit the station: Metro train doors close once passengers have alighted with the train. Escalators, staircases, and elevators will take passengers to the concourse level. If you travel with the smart card you can tap on the automated fare collection or AFC gate. It adds with equivalent amount that is equivalent amount applicable as fare. You may purchase a token at the station and once the metro doors open you may get inside. Signage and local area maps will also help to exit the station with ease. 

Hyderabad Metro Proposed Lines Phase 2:

Line 1 is with the Red line at Miyapur – BHEL – Patacheruvu at 14 km.

Line 1 Red Line is with LB Nagar to Vanasthalipuram – Hayattnagar at 8 km.

Line 3 Green Line at MGBS – Old City – Falaknuma – Chadrayangutta K Road at 7 km.

Line 3 – Blue Line at Nagole – LB Nagar – Chandrayan Gupta K Road – Mallardevapally JCT – Shamshabad airport at 29 km.

The Hyderabad metro fare chart is divided into zones. For zone 1 which is 0-2 km fare, it is Rs 10. For Zone 2 at 2-4 km, it is Rs 15. For 4-6 km you pay Rs 25. For 6-8 km you just have to pay Rs 30. With 8 – 16 km you have to pay Rs 35. In 10-14 km you have to pay Rs 40. For 14-18 km pay Rs 45. 18-22 km you have to pay Rs 50. 22- 26 km is Rs 55 and for more than 36 km is Rs 60.
