The project in Lucknow costs the Government with whopping amount of INR 11, 962.55 Crore within Phase 1. It has funding done by Govt of India, U.P. Govt, European Investment Bank. It connects with CCS International airport, Durgapuri, Hazratganj, Hussainganj, Indira nagar, IT Chauraha, KD Singh Babu stadium. It has Krishna Nagar, Lekhraj Market, Lucknow University, Mawaiya, It also adds with Munish Pulia, Sachivalaya, Singar Nagar, Tranport Nagar.

Lucknow Metro fares on route: You can choose with smart card or tokens on Lucknow metro routes. It has 7 categories of fares that is divided according to number of stations and distance travel altogether.
Ø The lowest fare is Rs 10 INR with 1 station travel.
Ø 15 INR is with 2 stations of travel.
Ø 20 INR is with 3 to 6 station of travel.
Ø 30 INR is amount for 7 to 9 station of travel.
Ø 40 INR is amount for 10 to 13 station.

Timings for Lucknow Metro: First metro starts with early morning at 6:00 am and the last metro is at 22: 00 hrs at night. All seven days a week without any break is the operation for Lucknow Metro.

Rules to be followed at Lucknow Metro:
Ø The token, smart card should get validated with entering metro.
Ø If caught with an invalid ticket rider will get imprisonment for 3 months or fine of 250, at times both.
Ø No unauthorized entry to station is permitted as the punishment is same as above for it.
Ø You cannot carry any offensive or prohibited material that attracts Rs 500 as penalty.
Ø No damage has to be done for the metro property, train or platform. He or she may get behind bar imprisonment for up to 10 years.
Ø Altering or also forging a token or smart card results with imprisonment of 6 months.
